Oh well, 3rd is above expectations..Congrats to whomever wins this thing tomorrow!
Congrats Rob can't wait until next year!!!
Great managing of coarse. Should have known that the outcome last night would just as it was.Ironman i must say that was brutal seeing you get cained like that. CC trade did you in the long run thanks for out bidding me for him. pretty unbelievable the run that you and scrappy made keeping pace the last month.I thought for sure I drafted top 3 or better team and made some good pick ups, obviously I didn't and need to evaluate differently next year. Did beat out the Rejuvs and that was one of the goals, but finishing 4th again was not.Congrats again Rob for the one for the thumb I can only think it was exciting to participate in that race instead of the barn burner Jeff and I had the last month falling 7-8 thousand points of the pace in 5-6 weeks. The draft will be here before we know and I hope that I get another shot at actual competing until the final day.Very long season with disappointing results with my team, should have made more moves with the results I was seeing especially late.

.....I hope being where you were in the standings you were able to flesh out some tricks to use for the future. The best team doesn't always win. If that were the case both Steve and Scrappy would've finished ahead of me. I look(ed) at Steve's squad and am amazed I was able to beat it out. Of course I was fortunate to have a 3500 plus point lead on him before his team really kicked it into gear, (actually the cushion may have been close to 5000). Fortunately Aramis and Billy Butler got hot on offence to help bolster my pitching staff and my hours and hours each week of managing were put to good use. That said I hafta do a better job next season of drafting because RFBB shouldn't be as hard to win as this edition was. Worse for me is the commish will be breathing fucking fire seeking redemption for his poor showing. Scrappy will learn and prove stiffer competition and we'll see how Ironman responds to getting oh so close. Lastly (for this post) I think Ironman came out fine with the CC trade, liked it for him more and still do.
Congrats Rob, on a job well done!!!
I made too many wrong moves, like not picking up fister 2 days before you did when I was so close to doing that, the awful trade I made with Jeff losing 2 cgs's from carpender, and finally the bad mistake of benching puts for pap last week, and also the almost pickup of hardy, which was in my grasp. Hopefully I'll learn from all the mistakes and maybe win it next year, once again congrats!

....damn, I know I had my share of regrets too. Maholm for Valverde which cost me 750 points in one week, not using Austin Jackson in a week he cried out to be used, sticking with suckass Martin Prado months too long. But my pitching fucking carried me and the trades I was able to make with Jeff and Bryce were monster bailouts even as Votto cooled over the last two weeks. An incredibly gratifying feeling made more meaningful by the spirited competition you and Scrappy provided in a race that went down to the last day for the two of us. Jose JOSE JOSE JOSE! Believe me the pitching staff juss for this week and four slots took at least six hours of thought.

No regrets Markakis = Cueto. Wasn't my trade that made you.

This has went down as one of the greatest nights of baseball ever to me as a fan of the sport! I hope everyone got to see all the games and how everything unfolded in MLB on the final night...I seriously rank it as a top 10 night of sports watching and I am not a fan of any of the teams that had so much at stake...WOW!
Ok having said that, and it took a Min...
CONGRATS ROB...having known you for about 4 1/2 yrs now, I am getting tired of always saying congrats to you like a broken record, but once again you win another league! Does this qualify for a cupcake?
Tx to everyone for the invite and hope to be a part of this again next season...it deff was a fun league and the best thing about it is when you can so much excitement out of it without money involved, that's when you know you are playing with a bunch of competitive guys!!

....was at the Orioles game until the rain delay. It was an insane day of baseball and that was before the clock hit 11:00pm. The Tigers/Rangers/Brewers also had alot on the line. Brew Crew v D-Backs Game One.

.....I hope you hold your basketball championship in as much acclaim as I do RFBB. That's the only other lg even close to the level of competitiveness of this and uh friendships were almost LOST because of the intensity (true story too Jeff, basketball was off the charts)

Ken thanks for joining our family and we certainly hope you return next season. I had you at 4/1 in April and you lived up to my expectations. Rob has been a fantasy machine no doubt. I've yet to beat him in the 8 seasons we played together. The only season he didn't play (because I booted Gebby out the previous season for dropping all his players) was my only RFBB victory (RFBB VII). And yes I am the only person to temporarily break Gill's Largest Margin of Victory Record (5,369pts) before a conspiracy cost me that honor. Regardless, this has been the most exciting RFBB season ever. And that's saying alot. Not sure who will return and who will go. I do want to thank everyone for participating and yes like a broken record CONGRATS ROB.
Congratulations to Robert Nerenberg !!!
A wonderfully fought battle to the end. This season has been too many adjectives to name. Brilliance, exhaustion, desperation, strategical, disappointing just to name a few.
Rob not only is your champion of RFBB IX but he we are proud to present him with MOY (Manager of the Year) award. His brilliance and dedication have prevailed and earned him this prestigious award. Congratulations once again Rob.
Buehrle and Jason Vargas
......by far their best games in months, Buehrle especially. I am drowning in the egg I have on my face.
